Issue 12

What changed since the last issue

Six lines, in the order we confirmed them. Everything here cleared the same four checks we apply to the whole index.

  1. Cantábrico Rail Club. Silver tier carries a second free seat reservation each month, and it does not roll over.
  2. Granate Coffee Card. The free cup moves from the tenth stamp to the twelfth on 1 October.
  3. Bilbao Museum Pass. Annual holders may bring one companion on Thursday afternoons after 15:00.
  4. Bayline Air Circle. The status-match window closes on 30 September, after which the old flight requirement returns.
  5. Zamudio Coworking. Flex members can book meeting rooms in Vitoria, Donostia and Pamplona.
  6. Fika Roastery. A subscription can be paused twice a year without losing the member rate.
Standing terms

Also worth knowing

None of these are changes. They are clauses that have said the same thing for years and get misread anyway.

  • Expiry runs from the earning date. A points balance almost always ages from the day each point was earned, not from the day the card was opened, so one old purchase can drag a whole balance out of date.
  • The free night is the cheapest night. On hostel and hotel reward cards the complimentary night is applied to the lowest-priced night of the stay, which is rarely the one people expect.
  • A weekly allowance is weekly. Where a plan says two hours of meeting-room time a week, unused time is not carried into the following week, however the booking calendar looks.
  • Companion entry means arriving together. A guest ticket bought separately at the till is not refunded because the member turned up afterwards, even on the days companion entry applies.
The Perks Digest

Issue 12 and the code that goes with it

Issue 12 · sent Tuesday 1 September 2026 · next issue Tuesday 6 October 2026

The digest is one email a month and it is the only thing this desk sends. Issue 12 carried the twenty-eight lines filed above, the six changes listed further up this page, and one longer piece on a perk we think most members never claim. The web copy leaves out the minor wording notes, which run to eleven further lines in the email itself.

The code below belongs to the programme partner we picked for this issue. It is the same code for every subscriber, it stops working on 30 September 2026, and we are paid nothing when it is used.

Featured-perk code, Issue 12
CODE_PLACEHOLDER

Enter it on the programme's own page, which the button on the right opens. If the code is refused, write to [email protected] with the issue number and we will ask the partner what happened.

Emails

How we email

If a message from BomPerks reached your inbox, this is the whole of what you can expect from us.

What is sent

The Perks Digest, and nothing else: a written summary of the changes we verified since the previous issue, plus the occasional short correction when we got something wrong.

How often

Once a month, on the first Tuesday. Corrections are rare and never more than one to an issue. We do not send promotional mail and we do not send on anybody else's behalf.

How to unsubscribe

The unsubscribe link at the foot of any issue works in one click and takes effect straight away. Writing to [email protected] with "unsubscribe" in the subject also works: we remove the address by hand within ten days.

How to join

Write to [email protected] with the subject "Digest". There is no form and no double opt-in page — one of the two editors adds you by hand and replies to confirm.

About BomPerks

Privacy notice, version 3, effective 1 September 2026

What we hold about you

Who is responsible

The controller is BomPerks, an editorial desk at Calle de la Pelota 9, 2º dcha, 48005 Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain. Write to that address or to [email protected]; whoever answers is one of the two editors.

This notice is written to meet the General Data Protection Regulation, which applies to us as an establishment in Spain, and the United States CAN-SPAM Act, which applies to any commercial email reaching readers in the United States.

If you subscribe to the digest

We keep the least we can and still send a monthly email and show that you asked for it.

WhatWhyLegal basis
Your email addressTo deliver the digestConsent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
The date and source of your request, for example "emailed on 4 March 2026"To show the subscription was asked for, and to answer "when did I join?"Legitimate interest in demonstrating consent
Whether an issue was delivered, bounced or opened, and which links were followedTo drop addresses that no longer work and to see which sections readers useLegitimate interest in running the list properly

We do not ask for your name, and if you volunteer it we do not put it on the list. Addresses are never bought, rented or harvested, and nothing is added that did not ask to be there. If you think somebody signed you up, tell us and we take it off and record where it came from.

Delivery and open tracking is a standard function of the sending service. We read it in aggregate, along the lines of "the ending-soon notes were opened by just over half of readers". No profile of an individual reader is built and the content of an issue never varies from reader to reader.

If you visit the website

bomperks.com is a single static file. There is no analytics script, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no cookie of ours. The one request the page makes to anybody else is for the typefaces from Google Fonts, and that request is covered by Google's own privacy policy. Blocking fonts in your browser stops the request and the page falls back to system typefaces without losing anything.

The hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs — address, page, time, browser string — for security and fault-finding. They rotate on a schedule and we neither export nor study them.

If you write to us

Messages to [email protected] stay in the mailbox so we can reply and, where a reader has reported a change, so we can show afterwards who told us what and when. Correspondence behind a published correction is kept while the correction stands; the rest goes after two years.

Where we answer a reader question in the digest, it is quoted without a name or any detail that would identify the writer, unless you have asked to be credited.

Services we rely on
  • Email delivery. Issues go out through ElasticEmail, which stores the subscriber list for us, honours unsubscribes made through the link in an issue, and records delivery and engagement events. It is bound by a data processing agreement and may process data inside and outside the European Economic Area under the standard contractual clauses.
  • Web hosting. The site is served by a hosting provider in the European Union that keeps the logs described above.
  • Typefaces. Google Fonts, as described under visits to the website.

No one else receives subscriber data. It is not sold, not shared with the programmes on the index, and used for nothing beyond sending the digest and keeping the list in order.

How long we keep things
  • Email address and sign-up record: until you unsubscribe, then 30 days so the removal can be shown if it is questioned, then deleted from both the sending service and our records.
  • Delivery and engagement events: 12 months.
  • Correspondence: two years, or longer where it sits behind a published correction.
  • Server logs: held by the hosting provider on a rolling basis, usually 30 days.
Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold, have it corrected or erased, have its use restricted, receive it in a portable format, or object to the processing. Consent to the digest can be withdrawn at any time by unsubscribing, without affecting anything done before the withdrawal.

To use any of these, write from the address concerned to [email protected] or by post to the address above. We answer inside a month and there is no charge.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, or to the authority where you live. We would rather hear about it first, but you are under no obligation to give us that chance.

Children

The digest is about membership programmes and is not written for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly hold an address belonging to someone under 16, and we delete it if you tell us we do.

Changes to this notice

The version and date at the head of this section change whenever the notice does, and the change is mentioned in the next digest. Anything that widened what we collect would not apply to existing subscribers without their agreement.

Version 3, September 2026: added the paragraph on Google Fonts and pinned down how long engagement events are kept. Version 2, January 2026: named ElasticEmail as the sending service. Version 1, June 2025: first published.

How to read the index

Who we are

BomPerks is an editorial desk at Calle de la Pelota 9, 2º dcha, 48005 Bilbao, Bizkaia, Spain, run by two editors. It publishes this index and a monthly email called the Perks Digest. Contact: [email protected].

Reading the index or the digest means accepting these terms. If you would rather not, please ignore both, and no offence will be taken.

What the index is

The index and the digest are writing about the published terms of memberships, clubs and subscription plans. Each line names a programme, describes the perk, gives the day we last confirmed it, and carries a status word. All of it is written for a general reader and none of it is legal, financial or consumer advice.

Programmes appear because readers ask about them. Where a programme is small or local, or where we have no permission to describe it by name, a descriptive name is used instead. Any resemblance to a programme we do not track is accidental and worth telling us about so we can put it right.

Accuracy and the checked date

Before anything is filed it passes the four checks that govern this desk: read the primary document, compare it against our dated archive of the same document, confirm it in practice where that is possible, and publish on the monthly cycle. The checked date is the day of our most recent confirmation and nothing more.

Programmes rewrite their terms without warning us, sometimes on the day an issue goes out. A line therefore says that on the checked date the wording read this way. It does not promise that it still does. Before you act on a perk that matters, read the programme's current terms; if they disagree with us, tell us and we will recheck and correct.

Corrections appear in the following digest and are applied to the index as soon as they are confirmed. Entries are never quietly edited: a corrected line says that it was corrected.

Independence

BomPerks is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any programme filed on this page. Positions in the index are not for sale, no entry is sponsored, and no referral commission is earned from anything we cover. Nobody outside the desk reads an issue before it is sent.

We pay for our own memberships. Where a programme has given us a complimentary membership so we could test a perk, the line concerned says so.

Featured codes and outbound links

An issue may carry one featured-perk code and a link to the programme's own page. The code belongs to the programme, not to us; the programme sets what it is worth, when it expires and what it can be spent on. It is published because we think the perk deserves a reader's attention, and for no other reason. Nothing reaches us when the code is used.

Links that leave bomperks.com are there for convenience. Those sites run on their own terms and their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or for anything that happens once you have left.

The digest email

The Perks Digest goes only to people who asked for it, once a month, with an unsubscribe link in every issue. The commitments behind that sentence are set out under how we email and in the privacy notice. Passing an issue on to a friend is welcome; signing somebody else up is not, and any address whose owner tells us they did not subscribe is removed.

Using this site

Read it, link to it, share it. Do not scrape the index to republish it as a dataset or a feed, present our lines as your own work, probe the server for anything not meant for visitors, or use the site in a way that gets in the way of other people reading it.

Copyright and quoting

The text, layout and mark of BomPerks are © BomPerks. Programme names belong to the programmes. Lines may be quoted for review, comment or reporting with a credit and, online, a link back to this page. Reproducing the whole index or a whole issue needs written permission — ask at [email protected] and the answer is likely to be yes.

Limits of our responsibility

The index and the digest are provided as they are, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from acting on a line, from a programme changing or withdrawing a perk, from a featured code being refused, or from the site being unreachable. Nothing here limits any liability that Spanish law, or the consumer law that applies where you live, does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Spain and disputes belong to the courts of Bilbao, except where consumer law lets you bring a claim nearer home. Consumers in the European Union may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

The version and date at the head of this section move whenever the terms move, and the change is noted in the next digest. Version 2, September 2026: added the section on featured codes. Version 1, June 2025: first published.
